With “Made4Circle”, Interzero, as an innovation leader in the circular economy, offers a new service to make packaging for products recyclable. As the only environmental service provider in Austria, Interzero covers the entire process – from analysis to implementation. New recyclable packaging has already been successfully developed for Hubers Landhendl, the market leader in the poultry sector.
Vienna, October 15th – By 2030, all plastic packaging in the EU must be recyclable – the European Commission envisages this as an essential part of its circular economy package. With “Made4Circle”, the environmental service provider Interzero now offers a comprehensive service to make all types of packaging sustainable and recyclable. Interzero covers the entire process – from the analysis of existing packaging to the design and implementation to the licensing of the new solution.
Recyclable packaging as an important step towards sustainability
In order to serve SMEs as well as large corporations, Interzero adapts the scope of Made4Circle’s services to the individual needs of the companies. ” Our packaging experts in Austria and our own research and development laboratory in Maribor, where our scientific staff are constantly working on the further development of our processes and new solutions, play an important role in this ,” explains Martin Ulke, Managing Director of Interzero Circular Solutions Europe. “This enables us to develop exactly the packaging that each company needs for its products in order to not only meet all guidelines, but also increase sustainability performance.”
For companies, “Made4Circle” is a truly functional circular solution, because depending on the industry, their packaging can be made from their own material flow – namely used packaging. This ensures raw material security, as the material from existing packaging is always recycled. If required, Interzero can also provide additional regranulates for the production of the packaging. “We are the only environmental service provider in Austria that offers such a complete solution,” says Martin Ulke.
Raw material security and reduced costs through a true circular solution
For companies, “Made4Circle” is a truly functional circular solution, because it allows their packaging to be made from their own material flow – namely used packaging. This not only reduces costs, but also means raw material security, as the material from existing packaging is recycled again and again. If required, Interzero can also provide additional regranulates for the production of the packaging. “We are the only environmental service provider in Austria that offers such a complete solution,” says Martin Ulke.
Successful implementation: Recyclable packaging for Hubers Landhendl
Interzero has already successfully implemented “Made4Circle” for Hubers Landhendl, the Austrian market leader in the poultry sector. As a poultry supplier for trading companies, Hubers Landhendl was faced with the challenge of making its packaging more environmentally friendly and recyclable, as the PET trays previously used were not considered recyclable. At the same time, the packaging had to be designed to meet the highest hygiene standards. With the new packaging solution from Interzero, both requirements could be met.
“Finding a provider who can handle a project of this magnitude was not easy. In Interzero, we found a partner who implemented our requirements perfectly. Thanks to Made4Circle, we now have recyclable packaging for our products that meets all the legal requirements that will be coming our way in the coming years,” says Johannes Huber, Managing Director of Hubers Landhendl. In addition, employees at Hubers Landhendl were trained as part of the project to increase the company’s understanding of environmentally friendly packaging.
