Battery licensing
Used batteries must be collected and recycled – ideally with Interzero as the ideal partner for implementing the obligations.
Since 01.01.2023, as a mail order or distance seller, you are obliged to appoint an authorized representative based in Austria if you sell your packaging and single-use plastic products to private end consumers. Find out what this means and how we can support you here!
With this legal change, Packaging and single-use plastic products are the last material flows in Austria to be extended with the legal change to the Authorized Representative. Both batteries and electrical and electronic equipment have been affected since 2018 and 2019.
System Participant Exam? Exam Fit with Interzero
In Austria, every company that participates in a system or recycling system is audited at regular intervals. The organization responsible for this is the Packaging Coordination Office VKS. The following are tested

the traceability of the calculation of the quantities
the correct disposal of packaging waste in accordance with the Packaging Ordinance
