“More transparency and efficiency”

During a visit by Beate Meinl-Reisinger, party and club leader of the NEOS, to the new Interseroh Austria site in Leopoldstadt, Vienna, business once again met politics. In informal talks between the top politician and the two managing directors Christian Gschiel and Martin Ulke, a significant point of intersection between the two “worlds” emerged.

Transparency creates sustainability

As different as the two fields of politics and business sometimes seem, the demands made on them can be very similar. Few sectors of the economy are subject to such strict and complex regulations as waste disposal, recycling and packaging licensing. The complete traceability of raw material flows is an essential criterion for an efficient circular economy that conserves our natural resources.

Thus, Beate Meinl-Reisinger’s visit was also characterized by strong consensus in the demand for more – more transparency, efficiency and integrity in both Austrian politics and the country’s business sector.

Single-use deposit: “The right step”

Martin Ulke took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of the future single-use deposit on the way to a “circular economy” and provided information on the many challenges facing the industry.

Finally, Christian Gschiel gave a tour of the premises at the new company headquarters. In the Interseroh showroom, Beate Meinl-Reisinger was able to take a look at one of the main players in the deposit system: a reverse vending machine from the German premium manufacturer Sielaff, which is already well equipped for the upcoming introduction of the deposit on plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
